Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This page describes your right to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other U.S. states.

We Do Not Sell Your Bank, Transaction, or Location Data

BIHM Inc. does not sell your bank login information, your transaction history, your benchmarks, or your precise location data. Plaid Inc. handles your bank credentials directly and never shares them with us.

When Advertising Counts as "Sharing"

Sentinel Defender shows ads via Google AdMob on free tiers. When personalized advertising is enabled, your device's advertising identifier and limited interaction data may be made available to Google to deliver and measure ads. Under California law, this can be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even when no money changes hands.

You can opt out at any time. When you opt out, ads continue to appear on free tiers but are non-personalized.

How to Opt Out

  1. In the app (recommended): open Sentinel Defender, go to Settings → Legal → Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Info and turn the switch on. Your preference is saved on your device and applied to every ad request.
  2. Device-level controls: on iOS, decline App Tracking when prompted, or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track". On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads and turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or delete the advertising ID.
  3. By email: submit a request through our Contact Us page with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share Request" and the email address associated with your account.

Authorized Agents

California residents may use an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf. The agent must provide signed written permission and we may require you to verify your identity directly.

Verifying Your Request

For requests submitted by email, we verify your identity by matching the requesting email address with the one on your account. If we cannot verify a request, we may not be able to act on it but will explain why.

Other Privacy Rights

  • Right to know: request a description of the personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete: use the in-app Delete Account flow, or contact us to request deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to correct: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you the Service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality of Service because you exercise these rights.

Global Privacy Control

The mobile application does not currently support browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. The in-app Do Not Sell or Share switch is the equivalent device-level control. We will update this page if the application begins supporting GPC.
